In today’s market a well educated medical assistant with several years experience can make $50,000 or more a year, depending on the work environment. More doctors’ means more medical assistants not only for offices but for clinics, laboratories and hospitals.

Whatever area you choose, medical assisting is a career where the sky is the limit in terms of financial rewards, security, education and enjoyment. The most important ingredient in choosing the right medical assisting school is to focus and dedicate your efforts in one direction. Develop a plan and a personal strategy and follow it. Research all the available opportunities and take your time and pick a school and an area to study. Once you complete the course and are certified, you can always study another area. The more you learn the more value you have, not just to your employer, but to yourself as well.
